Our dogs are not phased by cold weather. Huskies thrive on it. So traveling with them in winter time is always an option. We live just south of New York City and love to traverse the city streets, shop, and eat. It’s a good cure for cabin fever. There are many places which allow you to eat at outdoor seating with your canines in warm weather. But what about when the mercury heads south and it’s too cold to eat outdoors?
I have a dream. It must exist. Yet I am still in quest, like Arthur’s Knights seeking the Holy Grail. Imagine this if you will. A gourmet New York City restaurant. Not too pricey. Interesting food. Gluten free options (sorry this is my dream after all). Comfortable outdoor seating with a view of a lively New York City street scene before me. The dogs rest happily at my feet, tired out after hours of traipsing the avenues of the Big Apple. And above us, radiating warmth in the frosty air, is an outdoor heater. Rob and I tuck in to a hearty, savory meal. The dogs gnaw contentedly on bully sticks. And all is well in the world.
If you know of an outdoor eatery with such a set up, and not just in NYC, please let me know! Galahad did eventually find the Holy Grail, so I am not giving up the faith!
